WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM?
WHAT MAKES IMAGINE ESCAPE GAMES DIFFERENT?
Imagine Escape Games is a mom and pop venue that designs and builds each escape room in house. Because we design and build our rooms, we are able to push the boundaries of escape rooms and provide you with a truly unique experience. You won’t find our puzzles anywhere else! We pride ourselves on our immersive scenic design, creative puzzles and props, and great customer service. We focus on providing each player with the best experience possible. One other thing that makes us different is our connected storyline. While you can play our rooms in any order, each of our rooms follows a connected story that starts in The Alleyway Vigilantes and takes you through the chapters of a storybook.
DO I HAVE TO PLAY THE ROOMS IN ORDER?
The first room in the story, The Alleyway Vigilantes was designed to introduce players not only to our story, but to escape rooms so it is our easiest and most fun room. As you progress though the story, the rooms will increase in difficulty.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
HOW MANY PLAYERS CAN PARTICIPATE?
Wednesday – Sunday: 2- 7 players
Wednesday- Friday: 3 – 7 players
Saturday- Sunday: 5 – 7 players
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?
The puzzles in our games were designed for players ages 12 and older. However, we leave it to the parents to decide whether or not their child is old enough to enjoy an escape game. While some younger escape artists may have more difficulty solving puzzles, we believe there are other ways for teams to involve younger players such as allowing them to insert keys into locks, assisting with searching rooms for clues/items, etc. SHARED EXPERIENCE: All players under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult in the room during public experiences. PRIVATE EXPERIENCE: During private experiences, players 13-16 may play alone, but we require an adult to be on hand in our lobby. Players under 13 must be accompanied by a participating adult in the room.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SHARED AND PRIVATE EXPERIENCES?
SHARED EXPERIENCE: If you purchase shared experience tickets you may be paired with strangers. Shared bookings allow multiple groups to book into the same room until all 7 tickets are sold or until the room begins.
PRIVATE EXPERIENCE: If you purchase private experience tickets the room will be reserved for only your group. Private experiences require a 3 ticket minimum Wednesday-Friday and a 5 ticket minimum Saturday -Sunday.
ARE ANY OF THE GAMES WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Yes! Jungle Gem and reSEArch are wheel chair accessible. The Alleyway Vigilantes has a 4 inch step up into the room and not recommended for wheel chairs. We recommend 4-5 players at most for teams requiring wheel chair access.
Unfortunately, DreamWeaver is not wheel chair accessible.
CAN MY TEAM WALK-IN AND PLAY?
We do accept walk-in bookings; however, we definitely recommend booking in advance. Space and times are limited and we cannot guarantee availability without an advance booking.
CAN OUR GROUP PLAY ALONE?
Yes, please book a PRIVATE EXPERIENCE if you would like to make sure the room is reserved for just your team.
OUR TEAM HAS FEWER PLAYERS THAN THE PRIVATE EXPERIENCE MINIMUM, CAN WE STILL PLAY PRIVATELY?
Yes! We do our best to make PRIVATE EXPERIENCES affordable for smaller teams. Unlike many escape rooms that require you to purchase all the tickets for private experiences, we only require you to purchase the ticket minimum. If you have less players than the ticket minimum but still want the room closed out for your team you may purchase the extra tickets until the ticket minimum is met. Wednesday – Friday private experiences require a 3 ticket minimum, while Saturday- Sunday private experiences require a 5 ticket minimum
I'M NOT SURE HOW MANY PEOPLE WE WILL HAVE ON OUR TEAM, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you are booking a PRIVATE EXPERIENCE and are not sure how many players total you will have, we recommend booking the ticket minimum. This will reserve the room just for your team and you will be able to add players (up to the room max, which is 7 players total) at the door. If you are booking a SHARED EXPERIENCE it is best to have your final head count before booking as we cannot guarantee there will be space in the room to add additional players at the door and we cannot refund for players who do not show.
CAN WE ADD PLAYERS AT THE DOOR?
If you have booked a PRIVATE EXPERIENCE we can add players at the door until you have reached the room maximum of 7 players total. If you have booked a SHARED EXPERIENCE the ability to add players at the door will be dependent upon ticket availability for your room and time slot.
CAN WE SPLIT PAYMENTS?
Yes! At checkout please select the “split payment” option. This will send you an email invitation to forward to anyone you wish to split the payment with. Please keep in mind that the total payment is due 1 hour before the event start time. If the total payment is not met, the person making the original booking will be charged any remaining payments.
We are also happy to split payments over the phone as well. Give us a call at 813-693-2665 and we can assist you with this process!
CAN I PAY CASH?
Yes! We do accept cash payments. To make your reservation please call 813-693-2665. We will need a credit card on file to make the reservation, but once you arrive we can take payment in cash. We will not charge the card on file unless your team is a no show. If your team is a no show the card on file will be charged for the full amount.
HOW CAN I BOOK FOR MORE THAN 7 PLAYERS IN OUR GROUP?
For groups of more than 7 players, you will need to split into teams and reserve multiple rooms. We are happy to adjust start times so that your team may start at the same time as long as we have the availability to do so. Please call to book. 813-693-2665
HOW CAN I BOOK A TEAM BUILDING EVENT?

CAN I CANCEL MY BOOKING?
We understand that life happens and plans change, so we try to be as flexible as possible. You may cancel or reschedule your booking up to the day before your booking at no charge. If you need to reschedule or cancel the day of your booking, you will be charged a fee of $5/ticket to reschedule and a fee of $10/ticket to cancel. If you do not have a date in mind to reschedule for, you may choose to have your booking minus the fee put onto a store credit that you can use at a later date of your choice.
ONE OF MY TEAMMATES CAN'T MAKE IT, WILL I BE REFUNDED FOR HIS/HER TICKET?
If you have booked a PRIVATE EXPERIENCE we can issue refunds for no show players as long as the ticket minimum is still met. Example: You booked for 7 players on a Saturday and only 6 can make it. Because our ticket minimum on weekends is 5 tickets we can refund the no show player. Example 2: You booked for 5 players on a Saturday and only 4 can make it. Because our ticket minimum on weekends is 5 tickets we cannot refund the no show player.
If you booked a SHARED EXPERIENCE we can NOT issue any refunds for no show players.
WHAT TO EXPECT
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time so we can get your team checked in and ready to play!
HOW LONG IS THE EXPERIENCE?
Please plan 90 minutes for your experience: 15 minutes to prepare, 60 minutes to escape, and up to 15 minutes to debrief and capture some memories in our photo room.
AM I REALLY LOCKED IN?
No, the door to your escape room will remain unlocked at all times. You may exit the game if you need to, but your time will not stop until the hour is up or you complete your mission.
IS IT SCARY?
None of our rooms are intended to be scary. No one will jump out at you or touch you, but there is a loud noise intended to startle you in The Alleyway Vigilantes.
CAN WE BRING FOOD AND DRINKS?
No food or drinks are allowed in the game rooms. Food and drinks are allowed in the lobby for parties and private events provided the proper arrangements are made ahead of time with our event specialist. There may be a fee associated with bringing in food and drink. We partner with Prost: Kitchen + Bar which is located in our plaza. We encourage you to check them out before or after your escape.
